We’d like to introduce you to Steven Shepstone, Systems Engineer and remote member of the All Mountain Technologies team.
Originally born in the town of Secunda in South Africa, Steven now lives in Bloemfontein, the capital city of the Free State Province of South Africa. It’s an active city and makes for an exciting place to live.
Steven joined the AMT team in 2020, working remotely out of South Africa. Given that Steven is on the other side of the world, he does his work while the rest of the AMT team here in Colorado is asleep.
Steven first became interested in technology by taking after his father. When his family first got a 56k dial-up modem, he was hooked. He was extremely interested in finding out how the technology worked, an interest that soon grew into a passion for personal computing. In high school, he commonly hosted LAN parties and did minor computer repair jobs for pocket money.
Today, Steven enjoys his career in IT because he gets to work with technology and solve problems. He appreciates that no two days are exactly alike, always presenting him with fresh challenges.
In his spare time, Steven enjoys spending time with, and cooking for, his family. He is an avid griller and smoker, and takes great pleasure in preparing a meal for his wife and kids. He has been married for seven years, has two daughters, and two dogs (Tinkerbell and Amy).
